Lectures + Book Talks + Recognitions
In 2016, I was nominated and became a finalist for the Global Food Initiative 30 Under 30 award.
I’ve spoken about the intersections of food, culture, and social justice at The University of California Office of the President, and guest lectured at California College of the Arts. I’ve given free book talks and readings at the Oakland Public Library, Oakland’s Jewish Community Center, the Oakland Museum of California, and many other bookstores throughout the Bay Area.
In New York, I moderate and sit on panels focused on food, queerness, and culture. Most recently, I led a discussion on food and activism at the annual Food Writers’ Workshop. To have me moderate a panel, sit on one you’re planning, talk at a children’s cooking camp, or anything else you have in mind, just get in touch! If the event is not-for-profit, or funds are going to a good cause, I’ll always try to make time.
